Alexander George

A native southern Californian, Dr. George attended Pitzer College in Claremont, CA before earning his dental degree from the University of Michigan. He moved back to the west coast to do a general practice residency at the VA Hospital in La Jolla. He and his wife Shannon, an elementary school teacher, decided San Diego was the place for them to start a family and further their careers.

An avid learner, Dr. George is constantly pursuing the latest advancements in maintaining pristine oral health. He has completed hundreds of hours of continuing education in the areas of endodontics (root canals), oral surgery, crown and bridge work and cosmetic dentistry.

Dr. George is an active member of the North County Spear Education Study Club. He is also a member of the San Diego County Dental Society, the California Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Dental Association.

In his free time, you can find Dr. George watching his beloved Atlanta Braves or his Michigan Wolverines. He loves the beach and all things outdoors. He and his wife live in the Torrey Highlands area and are kept very busy with their three daughters.

Cindy Zapata

Cindy joined the practice when Dr. George arrived in 2020. She handles all insurance claims, billing and questions. She is also in charge of scheduling and assists in treatment coordination. Originally from Louisiana, Cindy has been in the dental field for dentistry for 15 years. When not occupied with work at Dentistry in The Ranch or her young daughter you might find her running or working out around San Diego. Cindy is fluent in Spanish and English.

Irina Stysis

Irina has over 20 years of experience as a dental hygienist. Originally from Russia, Irina received her hygiene training in Minnesota before heading out west to San Diego. In addition to patient care at Dentistry in The Ranch she teaches students part time at the Concord hygiene program in southern San Diego. When not focused on perfect gum health, Irina is passionate about exercise and physical fitness. Irina is married with two daughters, one is married and one is in high school. Irina is fluent in Russian and English.

Noreen Busby

Noreen has been working as a registered dental assistant in Rancho Santa Fe and San Diego for over 20 years. She is Dr. George’s lead assistant and keeps all appointments running smooth. She specializes in chair-side assisting, radiology, digital and analog impressions as well as esthetic assessments. Noreen is kept very busy by her three daughters. She loves all things outdoors including trips to the beach and hiking.

Lori Paker

Lori has been with Dentistry in The Ranch since 2021 and spends time working chair-side with Dr. George as well as helping Cindy in the front office. She specializes in everything from appointment coordination to impressions and x-rays. Lori is married with two children, her son is in high school and her daughter is in college. In her free time Lori enjoys the beach, hiking and traveling to new places.
